The Canyons, the Oaks, and a deep bench of park gems — Chicago's disc golf lives in the suburbs and it is seriously good. We're publishing the metro's best first.
Chicago's disc golf scene is a suburban circuit with a superstar: The Canyons at Dellwood Park in Lockport, a 27-hole championship layout with variant holes, water hazards, and an on-site pro shop that draws players from across the Midwest. The Oaks in Mokena offers another 27-hole marathon through giant oaks, free and friendly.
Katherine Legge in Hinsdale is the gentle park-style course with a dog park attached, and Highland Park in Joliet rounds out the top tier with wooded-and-open variety. All four of our published Chicago courses are free.
