Pier Park is Portland's backyard classic — 18 par 3s threading through 200-foot Douglas firs that come into play on almost every hole after the second. It's free, walkable, and endlessly replayable, which is why it's the most-played course in the city.
The summer layout stretches 6,576 feet at par 54, which means these are big par 3s — several push 450 feet and demand a full driver. The firs turn every miss into a scramble, so accuracy beats power hole after hole.
Come on a weekday morning to have the fairways to yourself; on a Saturday you'll be sharing them with every disc golfer in North Portland.
Hole 17 is Pier Park in one shot: 477 feet of pure Douglas-fir corridor where the trees are 200 feet tall and the fairway feels ten feet wide. A clean drive off the tee leaves a long approach to a pin tucked behind the timber. It's the hole that made Pier famous and the one everyone remembers on the walk back to the lot.
