About this course
Idlewild is the professional-caliber gold-level course of the Cincinnati area — 24 holes at England-Idlewild Park in Burlington, Kentucky, playing 9,574 feet at par 86 from the yellow tees. Rolling hills, water hazards, and light-to-heavy woods make accuracy and placement as important as distance.
Free to play with extra-large concrete tees and Dynamic Veteran baskets, it's a course built for serious disc golf: allow three to four hours for all 24 holes, and don't bring novices unless they're ready for a marathon. Four tee sets stretch from 9,574 feet up to nearly 11,000.
This is the course where the region's best players measure themselves — and the 1,001-foot hole 21 is where rounds go to die.
Hole 21 is Idlewild's legend: 1,001 feet of par 5 that winds through the hills with water never far from the line. It's a four-shot hole for most players, and the kind of test that separates the weekend golfers from the competitors this course was built for. Par here is a badge of honor.
