Perkerson Park is Atlanta's championship-caliber test near downtown — a wooded, scenic course that the locals call the most challenging of the city's top tracks. John Ritger's design plays 5,360 feet at par 59 with a par 5 and several par 4s woven through the trees.
Free to play with rubber tees and Gateway Titan baskets, Perkerson is where Atlanta's better players measure themselves. The woods are unrelenting, the lines are tight, and the reward for a clean round is a scorecard you can brag about.
It's a short drive from downtown and a long walk from easy — bring your A game.
Hole 18 is the only par 5 at Perkerson — 485 feet of woodsy finish that rewards three clean shots. It's the hole that defines the course's championship character: no gifts, no shortcuts, just honest disc golf through the trees to close the round. Par here feels like a small victory.
