Β§ The lay of the land

A real disc golf town, if you beat the heat

Denver disc golf runs on altitude and attitude. The metro's crown jewel is Beaver Ranch in the foothills above Conifer β€” a mountain course with three tee sets that turns the same 21 holes into a friendly loop or a 7,500-foot monster. Closer to town, Bird's Nest is one of the most-played courses in the United States, and Fehringer Ranch offers the city's best practice area with the foothills as a backdrop.

The thin air is real β€” discs fly farther here, which makes the big holes slightly kinder and the short holes sneakier. Come for the scenery, stay for the community.

New to the area? Start at Fehringer Ranch, then graduate to the wooded tests once your lines are dialed.
